H 2 D
My journey with A Hand to the Disabled commenced with a life-altering motorcycle accident in 2017, which left me with severe injuries and a profound sense of purpose. Following a miraculous recovery, despite being declared deceased on local radio, I was compelled to reevaluate my life's direction. During my rehabilitation, I encountered numerous individuals who had suffered far greater losses, including the loss of limbs and, tragically, lives.
Their stories profoundly impacted me, instilling a sense of responsibility to utilize my second chance effectively. Reflecting on my experiences, I realized that my journey had equipped me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Growing up, I benefited from the kindness of sponsors, notably Nick and Elena Antonucci, who instilled in me the value of generosity and compassion.
In 2020, I began extending support to individuals with disabilities, with my first beneficiary being Twaha, a 40-year-old man who had sustained a spinal cord injury in an accident. Despite financial constraints, I managed to provide support during festive seasons. As I continued on this path, I recognized the potential to expand my efforts and positively impact more lives.
Through A Hand to the Disabled,I look forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations to amplify our impact and create lasting change.
